I have tried to cancal this in April and you are still taking money out of my account. I want this stop now. You have no right to take any more money out. If you do I will take you to court. Aug. 26, 2005.

I have had PPL since 11/1996 and my rates have never increased. I pay $16 a month and use it all the time. I have saved an e-z $10,000 or more on legal fees and I don’t know how I could afford to call and get legal advice if I did not have the plan.

A lien was placed on my house by a bill collector. I contacted the provider firm in Portland who within a month had the lien removed. Not one cent was spent by me. Great service.

Yes this service is awesome, it is amazing the general public does not adopt it more widely.

“Your sales people “puff” the benefits but do not tell you the real story, you take the 26$ a month then fight you on everything , benefits are not set up for the real world and what a real law suit cost, Our whole system is run by lawyers, the courts and judiciary system is made up and run by lawyers, we have no option but to hire a lawyer, the avg person can not navigate the legal system alone, no wonder as the laws are made by lawyers and the system is set up so you have no choice but to use a lawyer. And don’t even start talking price fixing., the way Pre Paid Legal is set up it does not cover the “real cost” of a lawyer, and makes you the user pay for the difference, and you nickel and dime what is covered. Lawyers live by billable hours and you even profess that in your sales pitch but your actual coverage does not even approach what it really cost. Takes lawyers to figure out a legal pyramid scheme that anybody else would go to jail for. Bill Oliver”

Interesting comments. I will respond to Bill. Pre-Paid covers the most important part of legal service. The telephone consultation is the most valuable benefit in that it provides real legal advice. My friend paid $300 to an attorney for a little more than 20 minutes on the phone and a phone call on her behalf. That’s more than my entire year of membership and I’ve already had a letter sent and over three hours of legal advice provided to me. Billable hours? The provider attorney’s are already paid. That’s the whole point. Pre-Paid’s provider law firms aren’t focused on billable hours, they are focused on service. Plus, in regards to representation, Pre-Paid Legal will represent you in many cases without asking that you pay more than the monthly fee. Not sure who explained it to you but I fear they did a poor job of it.
