There are other companies out there that have a longer track record than the name brands such as Line-X and Rhino Linings. One in particular is a manufacturer called Specialty Products, Inc. These guys have been around since 1976 manufacturing their own origional polyurea that is unlike Rhino’s Polyurethane and Line-X’s hybrid (part polyurethane and part polyurea). Specialty Products, Inc., calls their bedliner coating Full Metal Jacket which is a 100% polyurea that is typically used in commercial type applications. This stuff is tough! I love my bedliner!!! If I were to go into business for myself, I certainly would not buy into a franchise. Had a friend look into buying a franchise.
Not to mention any company name, they wanted an arm and a leg to buy in….! If anyone is interested in starting their own spray on bedliner business I would look into Specialty Products. My friend did and hasen’t looked back since…..

Old post… but…
I agree with Arnold, there are plenty of opportunities out there to start a bedliner business without Linex or Rhino. There is plenty of good equipment and material out there, you don’t need to be hand held by the franchisor mothership…
