A Complete Business with Low Overhead

Location - We believe location is very important and we place much emphasis here. First we research your area mapping customer concentrations and obtain an awareness of competition. Our location expert armed with this information visits your market and works with you to find the most desirable sites.
Lease Negotiation - Our concept of low overhead demands that we assist you in negotiating your lease. In most cases the combination of our personal site inspection/evaluation and lease negotiation saves franchisees many thousands of dollars of overhead for an extended period.
Training - Your training begins with eight hours of home study. You study our sign making materials and complete thirty-five sign making scenarios that convert you to a student of signs even before you attend home office training. Home office training includes two weeks of hands on and classroom training. Subjects include sign making, computer software, operations, marketing, and accounting.
Franchise Advisory Council - All AMERICAN Sign Shops organized and instituted a Franchise Advisory Council made up of franchisees elected from various regions of the country to act as representatives in submitting ideas and suggestions to the Franchisor. This Council provides our franchisees a voice in the direction of the company.
Store Preparations - You use our floor plan and specifications to have your counter, partition, and floor coverings installed. We help install work tables and showroom displays.
Opening - Your Area Representative will be present for the first week in the opening of your shop. We will be sure your sign-making equipment is set up and working properly and this is the time we help you practice what you have learned in training. This on-site reinforcement improves your confidence level to get you on your way.
Marketing Support - We commence a marketing campaign, usually within thirty to forty-five days of opening, that includes three direct mailings to potential business customers within your market area. You receive a target account list enabling you to follow up in marketing to the direct mail recipients. We make available to you a booth to use at trade shows and business expositions. A quarterly customer newsletter is provided for mailing to your customers offering special discounts and introducing new products. Keep in mind, your success will depend largely upon your personal ability to meet with other business people and sell your products.
Ongoing Support - Support from the franchise company is certainly one of the most important things you are buying when you join a franchise organization.
