Welcome to SIGN*A*RAMA® and the tremendous growth the sign industry has to offer you! SIGN*A*RAMA® was founded by Ray Titus, and father Roy Titus who also started Minuteman Press International in 1974 with one print shop in New York. Today, Minuteman Press has over 800 franchise owners in the United States and the world. After carefully researching many different businesses and industries, we felt the sign industry offered us the opportunity to best utilize our proven skills in graphic arts, marketing and sales. Ray Titus is now president of SIGN*A*RAMA®. The sign industry was, and still is, predominantly made up of craftspeople who make the signs themselves. Our idea of automated graphic design led to the opening of our first store in Farmingdale, New York in 1986. After the Farmingdale store expanded, we opened a second location in North Palm Beach, Florida to test a different marketplace. Our business knowledge from over ten years of franchising yielded impressive results in both stores. In late 1987, we began franchising SIGN*A*RAMA® Full Service Sign Centers. Today, we have franchise owners from coast to coast and in many countries, from all different walks of life, following a proven business concept.

Franchise Information -

Business signage today means everything from electronic scoreboards, free form neon, electric lights, engraved wood, vinyl lettering, painted logos, and cloth banners to something as simple as menu boards outside an eatery.

Twenty years ago sign production companies were limited in what they could offer customers in terms of personalized work. Businesses were limited as to how they could express themselves because the industry just couldn’t handle the custom work.

Computers changed that. With improved technology in hardware and software, virtually any request can be fulfilled by SIGN*A*RAMA®, and done so in a short period of time.

We look for entrepreneurs who want to run and manage their own business but want the benefits that a global company has to offer; mass purchasing power, advertising, etc.

Training -

Our practical on-the-job training is designed to be thorough and easy to follow, to assure everyone is fully comfortable throughout the program. The classroom part of the school lasts two weeks in Florida. Your airfare, transportation to and from school and daily lunch are included. After the two weeks of classroom instruction, your training will then continue with one of our local field representatives. They will meet you at your location, help you set up all of the equipment and continue your hands-on training right there in the store. In addition, once everything is setup and we know you’re comfortable, a marketing representative comes in and shows you how to market and promote your business. So, we not only tell you how it works, we actually go out with you and show you how it works. As you need help from there on, we stand ready to help you along your way.

Support -

Local Regional Offices provide continued guidance and support for all SIGN*A*RAMA® franchise owners. Training of your employees, whether it involves computer software orientation or instruction in the art of sales and marketing is something we provide at no extra cost to you. Our experienced representatives in each region of the country are available to help you build your business and keep it growing.

Equipment -

The SIGN*A*RAMA® Sign Center has been designed and equipped to meet the needs of both our franchise owners and their clients. It begins in the neatly organized lobby and front counter area, where a customer is assisted with their purchase through the use of various samples and our own copyrighted computerized pricing system, unique in the industry. Next, utilizing the latest in computerized signmaking technology, the signs are designed. Our powerful computer system, coupled with our easy to learn and use software, enables our stores to produce many different types of signage, from simple messages to elaborate displays. We can easily scan or duplicate a customer’s logo using the computer, or incorporate one of hundreds of logos and symbols already created and provided in our software library. Our system then allows the customer to see a draft copy of their sign work for approval or modification before it is produced. Our production equipment supports many types of signmaking materials, allowing us to be a full-service sign center. There are several pieces of equipment specifically designed to allow our franchise owners the flexibility of producing the smallest paper signs to the largest outdoor signs. From writing the order to delivering the sign, you’ll find our equipment package a very impressive, reliable cornerstone in building your business.

Financing -

SIGN*A*RAMA® understands that obtaining financing on your own can be a very difficult process, so we have secured financing for the entire equipment package for qualified individuals. We are very proud to be able to help so many individuals get into their own franchise because it’s not a person’s net worth that will determine their success. It’s a combination of a lot of different features like hard work, determination, commitment, reliability, and, of course, following our proven, effective program.

Mass Purchasing Power -

As a national company, SIGN*A*RAMA®, through our MMP Supply Company, can pass on tremendous cost savings to you. Throughout North America and other countries, MMP Supply deals with vendors of all kinds in the sign industry who ship directly to our franchise owners. MMP Supply also distributes private label supplies. Obviously, you are not obligated to purchase your supplies through MMP Supply. In many cases, however, MMP Supply can offer you prices that are much less than you could obtain elsewhere as an individual purchaser. Keep in mind, as we grow and add more franchises, our franchise owners will benefit even more from mass purchasing power.

Site Selection -

Our distinctive way of helping you get into business will assure us both that we are totally comfortable and confident with each other. SIGN*A*RAMA® feels that each and every individual looking to go into business for themselves needs to agree on some very important items before making a commitment to a company. Your location, lease and marketing area are very important issues that need to be addressed. So, we’ve set up SIGN*A*RAMA® with these items in mind. Every individual will know their exact location, lease and marketing area before making a commitment with our company. This will assure that we both agree on everything before we move forward. Finding empty stores in a town is easy, but to find the right location is very difficult; in fact, it’s one of our most challenging jobs. Negotiating leases is another area that can be difficult, but we overcome it. We can’t always promise the first few months free rent, but it has become very common across the country. Included in your franchise fee is the construction of your store; everything the landlord won’t do. The store will also be designed by professionals with a specific purpose; to maximize the production flow in your store. We know you’re looking for a company the will help you avoid the many different problems that arise before you’re in business, as well as while you’re in business.
