Russ Weldon created what he then called The Car Phone Store¨. It has since been re-named Wireless Zone¨. He envisioned a retail store solely dedicated to wireless communications products and services, and made it happen.
In 1988, few people knew what cellular was all about and a stand-alone wireless store was truly a unique idea. People were used to finding out about cellular at one of those huge, mega electronics stores that also sold stereos, air conditioners and microwaves. Not exactly the easiest and most informative way to buy cellular.
Today, Russ’ vision has become a reality. Wireless Zone¨ is the largest independent cellular agent in the country, with over 180 locations throughout the Northeast, Mid Atlantic and now Florida.
Many prime franchise territories are still available for the #1 Wireless Communications Franchise in America, as rated by Entrepeneur Magazine.
