truth about calendar club
calendar club has decided to terminate my contract due to “infringing upon the goodwill and reputation of the company”. that was all of the explanation they gave me. no details. just when my so called business was starting to earn some money.
without warning, they sent 2 employee managers to present me with a termination sheet and to takeover my store (inventory included) and they continued selling.
the company says they’ll consider whether to pay me anything for store setup and operation for the past 4 weeks. after expenses and labor, i’ve made nothing.
they want you to act like an owner but treat you like a manager.
when you open in september or october you’re only making money for them. you don’t start making money for yourself until after thanksgving.
for all of the effort, operators should be making 30 to 50% of the profit. plus operators shouldn’t have to pay to rent fixtures, the least srv could do is put that in for free. the operator takes all of the risk and calendar makes most of the profit.
