The people who own and run these stores really love what they are doing, and enjoy seeing their “cookie gifts” make a special day even memorable. I was impressed with their dedication to learning new ways to both make cookies and delight customers, weeing them, first-hand when I spoke at their conference.

Bad tasting “Cookie”
I take no joy in publishing this bad, sad, and disappointing information….
DECLARATION
I, DONALD RAYMOND LAKE, am using this document
to review recent events leading to my unilateral unfair
treatment by Robin Moore, Lorna Boyle, Cheryl Mangan,
Christia Smith, Dana Castro, Cookie Lee Jewelry (an
Incorporated enterprise at Irvine, California, USA), and
others in early 2006.
I am/ (or) was a guest of my sweet heart Mary (Tish)
Firmiss to and at the Bi Annual Convention at or near
Anaheim, California, USA, during August 2005. Based
upon what I saw at said confab and at the request of
Independent Contractor Mary (Tish) Firmiss, I became a
Consultant on the ‘Personal Shopper’ level.
Even prior to my involvement with Cookie Lee Jewelry, I
was extremely supportive of the organization and my girl
friend. Many times I was the only visiting male guest at
the home of Cheryl Mangan and or Lorna Boyle. At all
times I was the model of civility.
On or before Sunday January 15th, 2006, the present
senior staff of Cookie Lee, Incorporated, made it
abundantly clear that “FUN� was to be one of the core
values of our association. Also, in the pantheon of
corporate ideology of Cookie Lee Jewelry, was repeatedly
espoused the idea of universal “INTEGRITY�.
To promote Fun and Integrity, the trainers and senior staff
have made it abundantly clear to most ranking consultants,
and it should have been abundantly clear to pretty much
any one, that Directors, and Managers, and other Senior
Consultants are to play a pivotal role in propagandizing,
educating, and enforcing said ‘fun’ and ‘integrity’.
Executive Regional Directors (or words to that effect) and
other independent consultants (Form 1099 types) and
corporate employees (W-2 types) should have previously
received ample training on the ideas, procedures, and
goals of the company, its management, employee ranks,
and independent sale representation. All of these actors,
including John Lin (an MBA from Northwestern
University), Debra Lin (an MBA from Northwestern, and
aka ‘Cookie Lee’), Patty/Patti, Heady Kilfeather, Ruben
XXXXX, Cheryl Mangan, Lorna Boyle, Robyn Moore,
Christina Smith, Dana Castro, and others knew or should
have known not to criminally attack victim Lake or
engage in negligent criminal actions (‘adding insult to
injury’) toward him after words.
The January 2006 Convention itself, and as reviewed by
the February 2006 issue of Cookie Lee Connection,
should have been an ample sample of the Golden Rule and
other procedures in dealing with each other, much less
new consultants. Mister Lake, a male, less abled military
veteran, over forty years old was not treated in the
proscribed manner, especially by female, non veterans,
and rather younger persons associated with Cookie Lee.
Instead of doing her senior consultant managerial duties I
observed a senior independent consultant known to myself
as Robyn Moore turn to the dark side. On Sunday January
15th, 2006, in or about Long Beach, California, I was
confronted and ambushed without provocation.
There was an incident of which she was not privy to, was
not present for, and of which she and her cohorts knew
next to nothing about. Instead of being reasonable and
level headed, she, as a perpetrator, literally hunted down
me down as her victim.
My consultant number is 50768. I am a disabled military
veteran in ill health and surviving on Social Security
payments. I am a male in a predominately female
organization. I am older than most of the cohort in said
organization.
Like a bunch of grade school bullies, the Mini Skirted
Mafia (my phrase) found and surrounded my self in a
deserted corner of the Long Beach Convention Center. I
and my sweetheart had literally just come out of the
facility’s facilities. As I was physically accosted with out
the benefit of Citizens Arrest, I was also unfairly,
unethically, immorally, illegally and unlawfully assaulted.
They continued to gang up on me, inspite of the fact that a
person appearing to be my Upline, one Mary (Tish)
Firmiss (#42082) had appeared at my side.
My assailants continued to ignore Ms. Firmiss (as my
superior consultant, #42082), and kept on picking on their
hapless victim. I did not, nor do not understand much of
their attack upon myself. (Maybe that was largely due to
the idea that my perpetrators did not under stand much of
what had gone on or what was going on.) They eased off
of me only after it began to sink into their tiny ‘Room
Temperature IQs’ that I was truly guilty of little or nothing
and, in addition, also willing to stand up to their mindless
school yard thuggery.
I was not apologized to nor given any reasonable verbal
justification by them for their criminal behavior. Ms.
Moore has not contacted me or connected with me in any
way, shape or form since her January hit-and-run assault.
By this time these unreasonable criminals had undone in
mere minutes and with extreme public embarrassment,
the emotions, good will, enthusiasm, and morale that my
upline (Firmiss) and Lake had spent an extensive and
expensive weekend ‘out of town’ to construct.
I feel that Ms. Moore and her criminal cohorts largely
ruined Ms. Firmiss’ and Mister Lake’s January 2006
Convention. I feel that this has been engineered with out
provocation and rationale. I feel that these people, with
out any rational cause to do so, have set up the
environment and the situation(s) (along with the lying and
false hoods and ill will of the corporate structure carried
out by Irvine personnel) where my and Ms. Firmiss’
previously maintained positive and or genteel relationship
with one Cheryl Mangan, the Boyles (Lorna, Husband
Keith, and Daughter Vicky), Dana Castro (Ms. Firmiss’
direct Upline) and, Christina Smith (Ms. Castro’s direct
Upline) and others.
For the remainder of our stay in Long Beach we
complained about our criminal mistreatment by Ms.
Moore and others to any one whom would listen. We
made phone calls to the Doyles and others. We did admit
and do admit no guilt, and we apologized for nothing.
The only thing that Ms. Firmiss and Mister Lake are guilty
of is being associated, and that as only innocent victims of
a criminal or near criminal event.
Ms. Firmiss seems to feel that the form mailed to Lake
calls for only the raw, primary event of January 15th.
Mister Lake then provides primarily intelligence on the
‘Vector Zero’ or ‘Actor Zero’ (Robyn Moore) face to face
event.
However, Personal Shopper Lake feels and has felt, that
such criminal and or near criminal event is just the tip of
the ice berg of deceict and or hypocrisy by both corporate
actors and or independent consultant(s). Lake reserves the
right to file additional comments about anything involving
and related to misadventures by the staff or team of
Cookie Lee jewelry with in the artificial thirty day
restrictions. Lake is still bearing the brunt of unjustified,
negative, punitive actions by dishonest and or disaffecting
corporate actors and ‘independent’ consultants.
We also filled out and faxed routine Post Convention
survey(s) on the eve of the confab. The attack by Ms.
Moore was key in that/ those reports.
During the week days after the convention, a person
identifying her self as ‘Patty’ or ‘Patti’ called
619.420.0209 concerning the Convention response(s) of
Lake and or Firmiss. She asked questions of them and
promised to call back in a ‘couple of days’. She has not
been heard of or from since.
During the week days after the convention, having
absolutely no response from any one connected with
Cookie Lee, I decided to investigate Ms. Robyn Moore, as
no one in Irvine or San Diego would provide me with
information on my attacker.
Her singular web site mentioned that she would lead
‘leadership’ training in her region later on in 2006. I sent
an unsolicited, but sincere, email asking the question of
why she, especially with her criminal behavior at Long
Beach, is qualified to teach ‘leadership’ within the Cookie
Lee structure—except by negative example.
I also constructed a snide and sarcastic DECLARATION
and sent it email to Ms. Moore and others. This document
was a way for Ms. Moore and her cohort perpetrators
could begin to understand the unlawfulness of their
action(s). It ended up with an opportunity for the corrupt
and errant Ms. Moore to cut off all ties with the Cookie
Lee structure. I felt that only a searing account of the facts
would get Robyn’s attention. Politeness and subtleties do
not seem to be her forte nor her path to enlightenment.
I did and do believe that Ms. Moore completely severing
all ties to the Cookie Lee is appropriate, and at this
signing I strongly recommend that Cookie Lee release
Robyn from her contract in perpetuity. I believe that if I,
as an older, male, veteran, less able, less senior consultant
had acted just like Ms. Moore to Robyn, that she would
have been supported and sheltered and that I, as the
perpetrator, acting just like the Mini Skirt Mafia, would be
unilaterally expelled from the Cookie Lee structure.
I make no apologies nor have any regrets for my unilateral
communications with the unchastized Ms. Moore. I still
view her as a female, more abled, non veteran, younger,
more organizationally senior, visiting criminal conduct
upon my self as a male, disable veteran, over 40 years of
age, and a ‘newbie’ to the Cookie Lee structure. I have
little or no doubt that had I criminally behaved toward Ms.
Moore in the exact same manner as she did me on January
15th, 2006, in Long Beach, California, that I would have
been escorted to the door with in minutes.
The illegal ‘differentiation of treatment’ continued
unilaterally toward me during the following week. During
one of the few communications with folks associated with
Cookie Lee, I had a discussion with Mrs. Lorna Boyle.
Mere minutes before I was to leave with Ms. Firmiss for a
Post Convention Rally in the home of Cheryl Mangan I
was notified that my ‘negative energy’ from the
Convention assault had precluded me (the victim) from
(unilaterally) attending said rally.
I have no information that any of these actors had
contacted, much less rebuked, Ms. Moore. I have no
information that any of these persons have any back
ground in psychology, human development, or criminality.
I have no information that any of these persons are experts
(or even slightly educated) in anger management.
I believe Ms. Moore has GROSSLY INTERFERED in the
previously genteel relations of Fimiss/Lake and the Boyles
(Lorna, Husband Keith, and Daughter Vicky). As much as
Ms. Mangan and Ms. Moore and Ms. (Charlina) Smith
and Ms. Dana Castro have acted at least inappriatedly, if
not criminally, the stage for my on going illegal treatment
was specifically set by Ms. Moore and various lying and
deceitful (W-2 type) Cookie Lee employees—repeatedly.
The biggest ‘problem’ Patty/Patti, Heady Kilfinger, and
various members in the independent consultant structure is
that I am not willing to vacate my victimhood. In an
environment where I am assaulted, abandoned, contacted
and then lied to, these other actors have no logical reason
to ask me, much less expect and demand and order me to
‘Be the Bigger Person’ and ‘Be the Better Person’.
This is especially true that Ms. Moore is (apparently???)
not even on Ms. Lorna Boyle’s lineage.
So Lorna agrees with me that I am 100% the victim, and
that Ms. Moore is 100% the perpetrator. I am then told by
her, seconds later, that I and Ms. Moore are both 50/50
responsible for the situation. It is Mrs. Boyle’s duty to
stand up for her 100% abused down line consultant, no
matter how long she has known the unallocated
perpetrator or their previous connected.
It is not merely unfair, it is criminal for Lorna to behave
that week FOR the fellow criminal Moore and to add
insult to injury AGAINST victim Lake.
Also, Mrs. Boyle, not an expert on anger management,
having distance her self from observing Mister Lake, then
arrives at Ms. Mangan’s with both her husband and son as
body guards. This is as protection against a middle aged,
morbidly obese veteran whom has displayed nothing but
polite and civil behavior in her home previously.
Again, the Boyle’s have no back ground in delinquent
human behavior. Again, besides their previous friendly
behavior toward Robyn and her inconsequential status as a
female, younger than Lake, non Veteran, non disabled,
and more senior in the organization than Lake, the Boyle’s
are illegally adding insult to injury to victim Lake.
I am very sorry for the victim’s embarrassing spot lighting
of my preceding events now that I finally get the idea that
a recovering Don Lake is going to make it his business to
make me and by extention, my upline and my downline
EXTREMELY MISERABLE, and thus, by further
extention, the Cookie Lee Jewelry organization. He is
seriously considering a BBB (Better Business Bureau)
complaint. A DSA (Direct Sales Association) complaint is
in the works. Talk of a civil suit against many persons has
surfaced.
Soon the upper level managers and supervisors, both
corporate and independent contractors, will over come the
shock of this truly horrible example of my ‘leader ship’
and revoke my contract. I had better beat them to the
punch while they, like the Mafia, ‘Cool the Mark’ (victim
Lake, and via extention, Firmiss and possibly the Boyles).
Considering thus, I hearby unilaterally terminate and
revoke my sales agreement and formal association with
Cookie Lee Incorporated in perpetuity starting on this
______ day of __________, 2006,
at_____________________________, within
_________________ County, in the State of
___________________. I do so with no mental or moral
reservation or with the intent to deceive or conceal. This is
supplied to parties involved to the best of my belief and
knowledge. This documentation applies to my heirs,
cohorts, agents, officers, employees and cosigns.

More sad, sad news about the pious Bible thumpers from Cookie Lee Jewelry:
Cookie Lee jewelry: This line is sold by independent reps like Avon
products. One of my co-workers sells this stuff. I have had several issues
with the items I have purchased:
1. I ordered a necklace and earrings and when I received them, the
necklace didn’t look like the photo, which had been “backlit” to show the
detail of the stones. In actuality, the stones were just plain black so it wasn’t
as attractive as I thought. When I told the rep that I would “think about it”
she informed me that if I didn’t purchase the items she’d have to “eat it,”
meaning that Cookie Lee would not take back the items and she’d get stuck
with them, so I ended up keeping them. Although I like the set, it did not
meet my expectations and it has broken twice since I’ve had it. I’ve told her
and she’s made no comment.
2. The first item I bought was a silver toggle necklace with floating
“diamonds.” One day when I was wearing it I noticed that the glass on one
side had fallen out and I’d lost all of the faux diamonds! I told my rep, she
checked with Cookie Lee and they said they couldn’t replace it because it
was discontinued. No offer to give me another necklace. My rep offered to
give me another item at 50% off, which I did, but that is the absolute last
purchase I will ever make from Cookie Lee.
I complained about item #1 and even though they replied, I basically got
nowhere. At first they thought I was a distributor and they were rather rude to
me. When they realized I was a customer, they were much nicer. I
complained about #2 and I never even received the courtesy of a reply. I find
it amazing that absolutely nowhere in their brochures or on their sales
receipts does it say “all sales final.” Even when you purchase jewelry in a
department store, where you get to see the actual product, you can return it.
To not be able to return something that you’ve only seen in a picture is
ludicrous. I hope this company eventually goes out of business.
