How To Sell Books By Mail
Home Based Business Opportunities:
Now that you have written that attractive report, how are you going to sell it? Perhaps you have already tried by placing a carefully written classified or maybe a large display ad, then waited for the postman to pile the flood of orders in your box. What happened? The odds are 100 to 1 that you came up with a couple of orders for all the time and effort. Why? You see continuous ads, small ones and full page $4,000 ads in newspapers, and magazines offering books and information. Many of them are repeated over and over again by the same advertiser. You know that they are making it or they could not continue to advertise month after month. How are they making it when you don’t seem to have any luck?

I know exactly what the writer is talking about.
I see a number of books that are plugged by the media and most are from individuals they know or part of the well known society individual.
The actual book is usually not great , but the fact that they get media time they sell huge numbers of copies.
I just published my autobiography titled I WOULDN`T DIE.
I have gotten out in just the few weeks it has been released a 100 or so copies.
The feedback i get is that they have never read such a great book.
They can not put it down ,once they start reading it.
That is all well and good but again how can we as little people get it in front of the real media to give it the appropriate test.
Thanks
Franco

After reading the memoir I Wouldn`t Die
Pastor Alan stewart said the following.
“This book is a one man`s journey of hope, faith, and uncertainty.Franco does not hide from any aspect of his life.It
includes his failures,disappointments,
and tears along with his smiles and
accomplishments. For those who can dare to dream and do not expect life to be handed to them on a silver platter, this book offers the hope that good things can come your way through faith, hard work, and perseverance.
Franco has a story to tell and it`s a story worth reading.I highly recommend it”

A few positve reviews can make a writer feel pretty good about his or
her work, however when you get reviews from individuals like The Ohio Living
& Travel Magazine(just released Aug. issue)that normally does not review books out of the state of Ohio, and having done that they say that the book is a wonderful read and so much so that they made it the book of the month.

Shortly after the Ohio review the
Westfield Leader a well established and respected newspaper decided to publish their review of the Memoir titled I Wouldn`t Die(this week Aug 2004)They basically said in a few words that they simply LOVE IT.!
It is a book that will be memorable and bring laughter as well as tears
and will be a great read.
the beauty of the book is that each copy will be personalized by the writer
to its reader.

Yes,I am quite excited that the Memoir has received excellent reviews from the like of The Midwest Book Review and most recently The LA Times. If we do not tout our own work once it has been blessed by the main stream media, who will?
A self published individual coming into this very difficult market must be driven and at times appear to be full of himself or herself,as attention sells, providing you have a good product when it is all said and done. Here is an actual review just received today.
“An Honest Telling of an Extraordinary Life,Nov 3,2004.
It is not often that one can sit down with a book and within a few pages feel as though the author is sitting at your kitchen table, telling you the story himself. This is a story of a man who has been blessed with an extraordinary life and it is told with such honesty and passion that you can`t help but feel as though you have been with him every step of the way.The tale is told in short, straight forward passages, giving you the opportunity to experience the joys and hardships of his life without the dripping sugary sentiments, pretentious literary subtitles and hidden meanings found in so many memoirs today.Franco Antonetti boldly shares the journey of his life thus far, speaking frankly and openly about his struggles, his successes, his loves and his losses;most importantly, sharing with his readers his incredible willingness to simply live life to its fullest.I savored every moment of this wonderful story and,at its end, closed the book with a smile. As I said, there is no hidden message,Franco makes it clear that an individual can achieve many goals in life when life is faced with strength and determination,by not falling victim to circumstances but instead rising above them, and never being afraid to just be who you are.It is stories like these that are meant to be shared with others and I will share this book with all of my friends and family as I know that they will all,as I did, enjoy his life.”
