Where to Advertise?

We are really trying to promote our book. Do you have any suggestions as to where we should place ads on the web?

Personally, I’ve had success with Google’s Adwords.

Adwords are the simple text advertisements you see down the right side of the the results page from a Google search. The advertisement is keyed to the words in the search query so its generally uncannily accurate.

Google has just introduced a service called Adwords: Jumpstart, where for $299 they will review your website, write your advertisements and attach them to specific keywords that they expect will generate traffic for you. The $299 fee is then applied to your account as credit for clicks, so if you’re planning to spend the money anyway, it’s almost a free service!
