ReveNews: “From an affiliate’s point of view, if they’d prefer to be responsible for closing the sale rather than hoping the merchant does, becoming a retailer has become easier than ever, with increasing levels of automation. There are so many varients appearing in this space — from the technically sophisticated to the point-and-click simple — that an overview article like this won’t do it justice (but is part of the reason why I’ve invited some really smart people from that emerging space to help ReveNews cover it.) Most affiliates that I’ve spoken to who are mixing it up — using a combination of affiliate program and drop ship program links — report that drop ship programs generate more revenue for them than affiliate links for the same product.”
