Womens Wall Street: “Many women, particularly mothers of young children, dream of earning a part-time salary and enjoying the flexibility of a freelance lifestyle. But wary of those Spam-mailing con artists peddling bogus work-at-home schemes, they’re also not up for starting a major entrepreneurial venture requiring a million dollars in investment capital. Is it unreasonable, they wonder, to search for the ideal middle ground - to start a genuine income-producing, legitimate, home-based business? Though it’s neither an easy or risk-free endeavor, it absolutely is possible - especially if you’re starting with a valuable professional skill (or set of skills) from your pre-motherhood days.”

We used a federal tax credit to cover training and she’s got a decent part time income. She’s with the kids now.

BUT she had years of medical office experience too and I had some contacts that got her her first clients…
