Two Businesses In One
A interesting discussion is developing in this post about great examples of two businesses in one:
- This morning, I had breakfast at my favorite new cafe, Scene It. Scene It is two businesses in one, being both a cafe and a travel agency. The front portion is what’s you’d expect in a cafe: tables and chairs, comfortable couches and a counter serving coffee and food.
- I haven’t been to Cinecycle in ages. I know that they’re still a movie theatre, but do they still do bike repair too?
- San Francisco has Brain Wash, a combination laundromat/cafe/performance venue.
I’m inspired me to start my own list, but I’m stuck:
- Chinese teriyaki chicken bowls and donuts
Can you help? What’s your favorite example of two-businesses-in-one?

A bar and brothel comes to mind, but I don’t think that’s what you were looking for.

Here’s one. I saw this years ago, but it’s two businesses in one. Doc’s Dog Wash & Laudermat, was located in Santa Cruz, CA.
