Someone figured out a way to sell a 37 cent stamp for 85 cents!

Stamps.com has launched Photo.Stamps.com where you can upload your own images and print real stamps:

PhotoStamps is an exciting new service that allows you to create your own customized postage. Whether you have a wedding to announce, a new baby in the family or a business to promote, PhotoStamps are a fun and easy way to add a personal touch to all of your mailings.

Wow!

If Stamps.com can charge a premium for the photo stamps, why doesn’t someone compete with them by offering a photo which can hold an actual postage stamp? Then the photo can be as large or small as the purchaser wants with a spot for a normal first class postage stamp which can be affixed to any letter like normal postage. I think someone might make a buck doing this.
