What’s Wrong With Multi-Level Marketing?

  • Dane,

I’ve scanned this and, in part, agree.

I’d never be a part of anything that required people to go to cult like meetings.

As I’ve said in other places, the test of a legitimate MLM is this: Can you make a full time income just selling the product because the products are sold at prices and quality levels viable in the “real world” and overrides are “gravy” for recruiting other people who want to build a business.

So I suppose I agree with most of what’s been written.

But did anyone else notice that most of these complaints are likewise complaints against capitalism in general?

    For example…

    – “Do we want to encourage people to be more materialistic?” (Yes, if the alternative is to perpetuate people relying on social programs for their lifestyle and if materialism means they stop mooching off everyone else and become productive. Doesn’t becoming productive require faith and other virtues? The least materialistic person I know is costing his friends thousands cleaning up his messes…)

    – “Do we want our friends and family to become prospects?” (If I own a convenience store would I be offended if my mom went to my competitor all the time – dang right!)

Gotta go, but you get my point.

  • Hello
Quixtar isn’t a Cult why does people call this a cult? It’s just another way to get people to sell. Do you know that alot of companies have you in meetings?
    Stop Calling Quixtar a Cult.
