Dont be Politically Correct
Whether you agree with what they are doing or not, Hardees is brilliant. While every other fast food franchise is running as hard as they can to the politically correct side and serving salads and wraps, Hardees comes out with the Monster Burger. This sandwhich comes packed with 1420 calories and 107 grams of fat. Because of this burger, they are getting free advertising ( like this blog post ) all over the place.
This is a good example for the entrepreneur. We do not have the money or resources to compete with most industries, but what we do have is the willingness to try something and fail. Pick a niche. Something other industries aren’t willing to try. As Seth Godin says, “Go to the edge”. In the long run it is the cheapest and safest way to go.
