I don’t know that it was this personnel group, but soon after I retired I registered with a personnel agency. They would not send me for an interview until I gave them my SS number. Of course I would give that to an employer, but not before I even knew whether I would be placed. My husband is very prosperous, and we guard our data.
Is this standard in the industry?
