How Do You Expect to Do Business With No Contact Info

Just For Small Business: “As I browse around the web marveling at the diversity of choices that are available, I’ve found a very disturbing trend. No contact information. No email, no phone, no contact form. What’s the logic? Do small business owners really think prospects will buy if they don’t know who they are doing business with and how to contact them? I doubt it.”

  • It’s ridiculuous. These small companies are trying to imitate the worst parts of the online experience of bigger sites. Aloofness does not establish credibility, and it certianly doesn’t build trust.

  • You’re right Will. That’s why I wrote the message in my blog. If small business would just “be who they are” and let others know, they’d be much more successful.

  • I have always been an advocate of making contact information easily available for the customer. On my own company web site I put my company’s phone, fax and email address. I also have a “contact Us” link that repeats this as well as giving a physical address.

    I suspect the lack of contact information is more an oversite than anything else.
