Founded in 1932, The Krystal Company is the oldest quick service restaurant chain in the Southeast and the second oldest chain in the United States. Enjoyed by three generations of Americans, Krystal is a cultural icon. By delivering great food, quality service and fair value for over 70 years, the Krystal brand has assumed a prominent place in the Southeast’s cultural landscape.

Krystal is a southern icon. The Krystal brand - and the great food, service, value and setting for which it stands - has taken a prominent place in the Southeast’s cultural landscape.

Because 65% to 70% of their business comes from the drive-thru, they have engineered their packaging to accommodate the busy on-the-go lifestyles of their customers.

Krystal has streamlined its menu, committing their efforts to the very core of the business - the original Krystal. In short, they are focusing on the heritage that has carried their brand for the last 72 years… Great Food, Great Service.

While the rest of the world believes bigger is better, Krystal proudly offers fresh, hot, small and square. In a word - unique. With over 72 years of brand building upon that small, yet sturdy, foundation, Krystal is more than a success.

Krystal has launched a major expansion initiative to double its restaurants in the next five years. They are offering multi-unit development opportunities throughout the southeast. Krystal is looking for franchise partners interested in joining a unique opportunity that offers: exclusive development areas; first class franchise support; compelling unit level economics; strong brand heritage; and is rated among the top chains in America by QSR Magazine

The Krystal Franchise Program also offers multi-unit franchise agreements to qualified candidates. The “franchisee” typically then owns and operates 5 or more Krystal restaurants.

    Sirs,

I am trying to verify a local publication, Old Huntsville magazine, which stated in an article a few months ago that Krystal hamburgers were invented in Huntsville, Alabama, or at least an earlier recipe of the hamburger using square buns. I am in contact with a local artist, Caroline Wang, who would like to do a watercolor painting of the original Krystal restaurant on the North side of the courthouse square for use in a Huntsville themes art exhibit in March and we would like to get accurate information on its history. Any info/photographs would be helpful.

    Thanks,

    Larry Newman
