REO News: “Inman News reports that the Federal Trade Commission filed charges against marketers of a course that claimed to teach students how to buy and sell mortgage notes. One more get rich quick course scamming people who just want to learn to make a legitimate real estate or mortgage investment. Best bet is still to work with a local team including a top notch real estate agent (preferably a Realtor ® ) , professional tax manager and other knowledgeable and experienced professionals. Rather than $5,000 for course, try spending $50 to $100 buying legitimate books from reputable sources like the Barron’s Business Keys series.”
