Bootstrapping Advice
Charles Hagood of The Access Group (TAG) spoke today in our Financial Management class about boostrapping. He offered these princples to keep in mind during start-up:
- Cash is king!
- Somtimes less is more and that sometimes more can be an enemy
- Keep priorites in order
- Enjoy the ride!
- Cut costs not quality
- Impress your customers not yourself
- If you have $1 left to spend, spend it on marketing
- Always look bigger and bader than you really are
- Continually assess your organization for waste
