Garagetek
GarageTek is a garage organization and storage system that creates a neat, clean and useful space out of the garage—an often overlooked and underutilized room in the home. GarageTek was incorporated in January 2000 and franchise sales began in March 2001.
The estimated initial investment made by each franchisee is typically around $250,000 which includes a franchise fee from $50,000 plus build-out of a commercial location. Franchisees pay a continuing service fee (royalty) of six percent and contribute four percent to a national marketing fund.
Franchisees are required to have an office/showroom space with inventory/storage area totaling 2,500-3,000 square feet. Initial staffing includes the owner/franchisee who will handle the sales and marketing, one lead installer, one assistant installer, and an administrative assistant/receptionist to facilitate sales and servicing.
