Maids to Order, Inc. was founded in 1988 and operates as a franchisor of residential and commercial cleaning service offices. While they do have non-U.S. franchised operations, their primary operating focus is on developing a national network of franchised offices throughout the U.S. Each franchised office is independently owned and operated.

Maids to Order is one of the few franchise systems that trains and authorizes its franchisees to service both the residential and commercial cleaning markets. During the past year, their franchisees derived approximately 80% of their billings from residential customers and 20% from commercial customers. Being able to service both of these markets is obviously an important element in their franchisees’ success.

The residential and commercial cleaning services markets have been growing steadily for the past several decades. The growth in the residential cleaning market has been largely driven by socioeconomic factors that everyone is familiar with: more dual income families, busier life styles and an increasing demand for quality-time with family and friends. The growth in the commercial cleaning market has largely been driven by a propensity for more and more companies to outsource non-strategic functions and reduce corporate overhead. They expect that these trends will continue to create excellent entrepreneurial business opportunities in both the residential and commercial cleaning markets.
