My personal question is this… how are most people funding their health care who are free agents?

Just speaking for myself, as an independent contractor.. I just pay for my health benefits myself, I pay a monthly fee for a good deductible plan through Kaiser. This may seem expensive, but it really isn’t too hard on me, plus all my healthcare expenses are tax deductible, dollar for dollar, including my montly premiums, since I am self employed.

Also, some independent contractors build extra cost into their proposals for clients as a portion of their fees charged.
