I’ve been fighting with my web host for the past week — they’ve determined the “denial of service”-like attack I’ve been receiving from comment and trackback spanners is somehow my fault. I understand that Movable Type has a tendency to take servers down when heavily spammed, but they’ve been treating me like I’ve been doing something wrong. The most recent straw is that they have forcibly turned off your ability to comment on, or send a trackback ping to, any of my posts.

I’m in the process of moving to a new dedicated server on a different host. There will be other changes, but hopefully they won’t affect you the reader.

My main point for writing this, was not to bad-mouth my host (I’m smart enough to wait until I’m totally hosted elsewhere before I do that) but I wanted to make sure everyone knows that I’m very behind on email, so if I owe you an email, or two, or a dozen, please bear with me.
