The World of Difference $100,000 Small Business Contest
Want to win $100K in technology? The World of Difference contest, presented by Intel and the Small Business Technology Institute, is aimed at helping small businesses discover the benefits of information technology. The winner will receive $100,000 in free hardware, software and technology education, as well as a free trip to the award ceremony in New York City.To enter, qualified small businesses must submit a vision statement that describes how $100,000 will transform their business. Entries with the highest-scoring vision statements are invited to develop a business case that explores the impact of adopting information technology within their business. The top-scoring business cases will be selected to work with an Intel channel member to create a business proposal, which will be presented to a panel of judges at the World of Difference Learning and Development Conference in early 2006. The winning business will receive a $100,000 credit with the Intel channel member, plus a $5,000 cash prize. The Intel channel member also receives $50,000 in marketing development funds from Intel.
The World of Difference contest is open to small businesses located in the United States with no more than 100 employees and revenue of less than $50 million in 2004. Private, non-profit, educational and governmental organizations can also earn a chance to win $25,000 in Intel-based technology for referring the winning small business to the contest.
