I was pricing a job for a prospective customer.
I estimated the manual labor and physical costs.
I then thought “let me check X”… a technological solution where I’ll trade cash for convenience. I estimated I could do it cheaper myself, but if the job went as I hoped, I’d planned to hire an employee.
When I checked on this other solution, I realized that by using it I could take jobs and then - if I wished - process them from anywhere with a laptop and internet connection.
I can see why simple tasks are being delegated to technology. There’s just too much hassle with paperwork to justify hiring in many cases.
