His 12 years in the information-technology industry include working as a technician in an environmental-science laboratory and as the Lead Systems Engineer with notable software manufacturer Intuit.

Vicente is the owner of two Geeks On Call franchises that service the San Diego County communities of Rancho Bernardo, Escondido, and Golden Triangle. His high-tech skills date back to the 1980s, during which time he operated computerized missile-guidance systems as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps. After departing the military, he furthered his technical knowledge through additional schooling, which segued into a job with a structural-biology laboratory at the University of California, Los Angeles. Years later, his career path led to a position with a different laboratory at UCLA, for which he created and managed a super-computer “cluster.â€?
