AuctionBytes Week In Review

AuctionBytes:

This week we launched the “Features” channel on AuctionBytes.TV and have kicked off with two interviews (http://auctionbytes.tv/features). In the first, eBay consignment company NextWorth discusses their business model. In the second, bonding company BuySafe discusses online auction fraud and describes what happened when one of its clients – Glacier Bay DVD – had to suddenly shut down its eBay business.

I get many letters from readers who have run into problems with eBay’s Trust & Safety department. Typically they are from experienced sellers, some with high-feedback ratings, who report that eBay has pulled their auctions for a policy violation and they don’t know why. They often complain they get canned email responses to inquiries, and have no way of speaking to a real person who can help them figure out what they did wrong, which is vital to making sure they don’t repeat the mistake and risk being kicked off of eBay permanently.
