Does anyone know if this is online only, or if this column is in print?

Don’t know if this helps, but according to Google translate:

Past year took over AOL the Blogger network Weblogs Inc. at a price not specified more near. The rumors speak of a sum between 25 and 40 million US dollar. Dane Carlson, operator of the “Business Opportunities Web log” had to do now nothing better to write than on basis of these numbers and the linking statistics of Technorati an applet meadow-speedily computed the value of a Blogs. A pretty number plaything - however whether is sufficient, in order to convince the buyers of AOL from the purchase to?

I haven’t used my German skills in many years, but Ill do my best:

“Last year AOL acquired Blogger Network Weblogs Inc at an unspecified price. The rumors state that it’s between 25 and 40 million USD. Dane Carlson, operator of “Business Opportunities Weblog” didn’t have anything better to do that, from the basis of these numbers and the link statistics of Technorati, to create an Applet that tries to calculate the worth of a blog. A pretty/cute numbers game, but if it’s enough to convince AOL of the purchase, is unknown.â€?

It´s bonus content for their website. Only the bigger features are shared with the weekly print mag.
Congrats anyway - Der Spiegel is probably one of the 5 most important print publications in Germany. Their website had 120.987.000 PIs in February, the “Netzwelt” part 5.617.000.

AOL bought the Blogger-network Weblogs Inc. last year. The price wasnt specified. There rumors that AOL payed between 25 and 40 Millionen US-Dollars. Dane Carlson, CEO of “Business Opportunities Weblog had nothing better to do (remark - this is sarcastic), as to count (based on links and link statistic from Technorati the value of his Blogs (remark - there really wrote it very elegant and ironic, as German do when others have good ideas). A nice game with numbers, but I have doubts that this is enough to to convice AOl to purchase his blog?

You should proof read my translation - i am just a native German speaker.

I you have more translations to do, just contact me! regards Maxime
