Are gas prices freaking you out? Some say relax and take a pill — a “gas pill.â€?

The gas pill allegedly changes the molecular structure of gasoline, lowering the flash point so that it burns cooler, cleaner and gives better gas mileage.

“It’s addicting,â€? said Al J. Gauret. “It’s like drugs for cars.â€?

“Big Al,â€? as he calls himself, is an independent distributor of the gas pill — a pusher of sorts. He was in town this week hawking the pill’s monetary benefits — for both the driver and the network marketer who sells them. They retail for $1 per pill, but they can’t be bought in stores.

The pill was created and bottled by BioPerformance, a network marketing company in Irving, Texas.

    Bio performance did not create this pill…looks like is a Mexican company called Pecos sa de cv. I was told by one of the top guys at the first Dallas convention that the pill originated in Europe and had been in use for many years (big lie). I also asked about the 70% rule in MLM in which 70% of the sales have to go to actual retail customers and he said that “with this attitude I would not go anywhere with this company”. I also asked if they had a patent and he said that they did not want to apply for one because if they did they had to disclose the formula….sounded like a bunch of bull.

    Maybe there is really only one ingredient (mothball) which you cannot patent.

    I would stay away from this company, specially since it is toxic, this falls under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act…they are gone!!!

    I bought some of this crap from a friend who got sucked into selling it. I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado. Before I finished the first bottle of pills the fuel pump began making noise. My inlaws have the same problem. My gas milage also went down while trailering my boat to Florida from Michigan. I have always gotten 12 miles per gallon. It dropped to 11 miles per gallon until about half way there I stopped using this crap. I have also read that it is nothing more than moth balls. I was suspicious the first time I bought them that was all it was. They have been diagnosed by chemists, and sure enough, moth balls. I would strongly recomend that no person use this crap. Run from it as fast as you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
