While I’ll Never Start a Blog About Blogging

Jamsi on Work Boxers explains why I will never start a blog about blogging in Bloggers Don’t Click Adverts:
We will wonder what the click ratio is and what the paying rate is for the keywords we see plastered all over the site in the most obvious locations.
We will laugh and mock sites that have the infamous Google public service adverts.
We will cringe when we see adverts that aren’t blended.
However, we will never click ads.

I don’t agree. When I do some blogging, I would click on the ads when I see companies offer interesting services. More likely, if I need the service, I would purchase it.
I reserve most of my hotels and tickets online, and of course, I clicked ads of http://chinese-school.netfirms.com/Chinese-travel-agency.html on google… because they offered services that I needed.
Why waste time to search when you can simply click an ad? (same holds true for ads on this site.)

The writer has been brainwashed into believing that AdSense is the only way to monetize a blog about blogging. Give me targetted traffic and I’ll make money from it…mmmm, bloggers: hosting, design services, traffic courses, link exchange, link sales…easy smeezy to make money from bloggers, but surely you’re right, not with AdSense.

Hi Jon,
You’re correct, in a sense.. I don’t think I’m brainwashed however I see a lot of blogs on blogging that purely use adsense.
Something I’ve used recently is Text Link Ads which I’m officially in love with.
