Morton’s Restaurant Group is in a major expansion mode, with plans to open ‘at least’ 75 more units in the US, and units throughout Asia beginning in 2007, executives said at the Wachovia Securities Equity conference in US.

‘We have considerable room to grow our business throughout the US,’ said Thomas Baldwin, chairman and CEO of Chicago-based Morton’s. ‘We have considerable room to grow throughout the Midwest, the Northeast, Florida and CA. We will have an opportunity to grow in Asia, and will seize that opportunity in 2007,’ he said. The company is looking throughout major cities on the continent, though it has not determined the number of restaurants it will open.
