Everyday Edisons, a PBS show, is now entering its second season of taping and is looking for inventors. According to the show’s producers, “you will have the opportunity to appear on Everyday Edisons as your invention takes shape, is refined, produced, marketed and sold.â€? Their scope is broad: You don’t have to have a prototype or patent (though the product should be patentable). And they’ll review niche or minimally incremental innovations.
If your idea is chosen, the producers will pay for the commercialization of the product and the participant will receive annuities for 20 years. Up to fourteen people will be chosen. Auditions (you must appear in person) are scheduled for:
- Houston: August 19
- Washington, DC: September 16
- Portland: October 21
