In my blogroll I list Dan Sherman as “Busy but ingenious�. I love reading his ideas.Here he takes an online affiliate program and links them to an offline business concept.
It may not be your cup of tea, and it would be a tough way to earn a living, but when you see how close many people are to the edge financially, you might want to keep track of simple ideas and store them away for a rainy day. And you might wish to combine this with other ideas for back end profits.
For instance, instead of directing people to your website where they find a LINK, capture their email first with an autoresponder. Then direct them to the affiliate link so you keep their email and name for future marketing opportunities.

Or apply the concept with a DIFFERENT affiliate program.

Absolutely! What would internet marketing be without auto-responders? But you have to have the right one. With some, your mails will not get delivered. With others, you may not be able to do a bulk import of subscribers, an essential feature should you find the need to change auto-responders. And then there are others which will only allow you to add subscribers after they have clicked on a confirmation link, which spells a death knell to your marketing efforts in today’s online world where most mails end up in the junk or spam folder with little chance of it ever being seen by your would-be subscribers.
Do your research, and you will eventually find one that is right for your specific needs, your budget and your tech literacy level.
