What do job seekers and entrepreneurs have in common? The need for networking! As an entrepreneurs you already know the value of networking. Connecting to people that can help your business grow is critical - rarely can you do it alone!
A website was launched recently that helps people keep track of their important network information, just as a salesperson keeps track of his sales leads and customers. JibberJobber.com was developed by Jason Alba after getting laid off and learning about the most current job search techniques. Frustrated by the overabundance of articles and lack of actual tools available to a job seeker, Jason put his skills into practice and designed this very comprehensive tool for job seekers.
These tools will serve you well as you develop and grow your business also. For example, use the relationship manager to keep track of companies and people that are important to you. Did you just have a meeting with a potential partner? Put the contact information in JibberJobber and log the meeting notes!
Do you have an “elevator speech” prepared to tell people about what you do? Use the “Interview Prep” are to write down and wordsmith various versions so you can have one for a chamber meeting, one for an investor and a different one for customers.
The regular version is free for anyone, and like your e-mail account, won’t ever expire.
Go get an account on JibberJobber now, and tell them that Dane sent you. Whether you are still working or you have started your own business JibberJobber is a must-have tool to help keep your important contacts organized. For news or tips on how to use JibberJobber visit their blog.
