30 Second/One Question Interview with Chuck Huckaby

In Ideas

My next participant in the 30 Second/One Question Interview series is Chuck Huckaby. I asked:

One man’s trash, is another man’s treasure. What product or service have you imagined would be a good business opportunity, but you’ve rejected because it’s too off the wall?

Chuck Huckaby

Chuck responded:

The more I think of it, I’ve never rejected a business idea simply because it was “too off the wall”… I’m the guy who published a newsletter reviewing MLM opportunities remember? (At least before the Internet came around so that anybody who could create a replicating web page thought they had created a viable business!)

I only ever rejected an idea because it seemed there was not enough demand for the project for the business to gain critical mass… like opening a Starbucks in the middle of the Sahara or some similar improbability. I have this urge to pay the bills you see.

Being an opportunity junkie, I had to learn to control my fascination with businesses of every kind by choosing to write about them instead of trying to DO all of them!

Just curious about your opening comment “One man’s trash, is another man’s treasure”. I first thought this article was about freecycle.org based in Arizona, or at the very least, about recycling. Your blog is interesting with some excellent and brief topics.
