Smoothie Chain Expects 75 Stores In Phoenix, San Diego

Squeeze Fresh Smoothies Thursday announced the sale of franchise territories covering Phoenix and San Diego, with the goal of establishing 75 stores combined in the two areas over the next seven years.

Richard Dean, president of Greenwood Village, Colo.-based Squeeze Fresh, said the chain has set a goal of 300 stores by 2010.

Christopher Erlandsen was named area director for Phoenix, with Paul Papacoulis taking the San Diego area. According to the company, stores are locally owned with area directors giving franchisees guidance, marketing and advertising support, and operational assistance.
