How Much to Charge Advertisers to Your Site

Isabel M. Isidro at PowerHomeBiz Small & Home Business:

If you are thinking of earning from your website by selling ad spaces, one of your first questions will be: “What will I charge advertisers?”

In my opinion, your rate will depend on several factors:

1. Who is your audience and how desirable is your audience to the advertisers?

2. What is the rate of comparative websites in your niche?

3. What is the rate advertisers are willing to pay in your site?

4. What is the CPM (cost per thousand) you get from other advertising vehicles?

5. What is the level of exposure the advertiser wants?

If you’re just starting in the game, experiment and see what rate the market will bite. You can start at $1 per CPM and see how it goes.
