Vancouver based Blenz Coffee has acquired four former Seattle’s Best Coffee locations, all located in Downtown Vancouver.

The acquisitions further solidify Blenz Coffee’s position as a leading
player in the B.C. regional retail coffee market.
The locations were previously operated by Vancouver-based Whitefish
Group, the franchisee and licensed distributor for Seattle’s Best Coffee in
Canada.
“The locations are well positioned and are complementary to our existing
network of stores,” said Mark West, President of Blenz Coffee. “Customers will
continue to enjoy great coffee and will now have access to Blenz Coffee’s
innovative beverage menu, which includes Blenz’ unique specialties and a wider
assortment of non-coffee drinks, for which Blenz is becoming increasingly well
known. Through this acquisition, we will be able to introduce our lines of
super-premium Matcha green tea and other high quality loose teas and
non-coffee beverages to a wider audience.”
“We expect that as the industry continues to mature, there will be
further consolidation in the retail coffee market,” says West. “We continue to
actively pursue growth opportunities, including additional acquisitions and
territorial development, locally and in new markets inside and outside of
Canada. We have come a long way from our first store on Robson Street in
Vancouver nearly 15 years ago, and we are proud to be a Canadian success story
in the face of intense international competition. The quality and innovation
of our products continues to fuel strong sales growth and we believe will
contribute to significant future expansion.
