The Arizona Republic:

For riders on Phoenix Transit’s popular Rapid and Express systems who are frustrated by overcrowded buses, the city’s Web site has a feature that could help you find a seat.

The idea is that commuters who are able to slightly change their schedules could find a less crowded bus that leaves a few minutes earlier or later than the one they’re taking now.

A transit department study of route capacities found that scheduled buses packed to standing-room only were often bracketed by slightly earlier or later buses that departed with empty seats.
