Business Idea: Gardener

Musings of an Eco-Entrepreneur:

Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a business that would come and plant an organic food garden in your back yard and come and take care of it once/a few times a week through harvest?

You’d pay a setup cost to get the garden built and pay a monthly fee to cover maintenance visits to keep the garden alive and healthy.

You call them up, they visit your yard and give you an estimate- when you say ‘yes’ they roll up to your house and put in a garden, which they then maintain a day or two a week over the course of the season. You can be as hands off or on as you’d like, but if you’re willing and able they will teach you the craft.

I’m sure there are people out there who would and do business like this, but I’ve never seen anything like this marketed how I’m thinking. Go after the suburban moms and dads who love the idea of growing their own food but just don’t have the time/energy to do it.
