Giving Hope to People Through eBay
David Dewitte was one of the first clients that Monica Doyle took on in our area, teaching him how to turn Ebay into a form of income.
David tells KIMT Newschannel Three, “I’m my own boss, nobody can tell me what to do or when to do it. If I want to go fishing, I go fishing, if I don’t, I don’t.”
And he loves every minute of it. And his success, and the success of her other clients, got Monica thinking…this could a great opportunity for more than just retired folks like David. Specifically, those with disabilities.
Monica explains, “They get to the point where they would only stay in their house and then it was only their downstairs and then it became their bedroom was the only place they lived and all of a sudden they get on Ebay and it just opens up a whole new world to them again.”
Like with her other clients, Monica teaches them how to work the site, helps
them set up an office and even gives them a box of things they can start selling to make their start-up money. And the result is something she says is hard to explain.
