Most of you may be familiar with the SBA’s primary website but did you also know they have another business site on the Web?
Originally launched in 2004, business.gov’s focus was on starting, growing and financing small businesses, but after numerous requests from site users, the site’s switched gears. It’s now re-launched as a one-stop shop for small-business owners to easily access information on government regulations and compliance.
Users can find forms and information on a variety of topics pertaining to small businesses, including taxes, immigration laws, workplace safety and environmental regulations.
Business.gov includes a Business Resource Library that provides links to business information and services from across Federal, state and local governments. Finally, in compliance with the Small Business Paperwork Relief Act of 2002, Business.gov publishes compliance assistance contacts(name, phone number and e-mail) and a list of compliance assistance resources available at Federal regulatory agencies.
