Entrepreneur Daily:

Snap, a cafe in Washington, DC , has done away with cumbersome coins and bills and accepts only plastic .

The owner loves her new Point-Of-Sale model since she rarely has to go to the bank, she doesn’t have to make change, she can trust that her employees aren’t pocketing any cash, and she doesn’t have to worry about having a lot of money on site.

The company handling her transactions even agreed to lower her transaction rates because she became a bigger customer.

You may be asking: Is this legal? Turns out, it is. At least in Washington, DC.

Editor note: Could this be the start of a trend?
