NewsBlaze:

Two years ago, Toronto-based toy inventor Wayne Fromm was traveling with his family and was tired of asking strangers to operate his camera for a family photo.

The option of holding his arm out with his camera aimed at the group produced terrible results with heads unintentionally cut out of the picture and got him thinking.

This musing led him to invent the Quik Pod, an item that can be best described as an “extendable hand-held tripod” that lets you properly frame and photograph yourself with your friends and family.

A person simply holds the extended Quik Pod with the camera facing their face and the camera takes their photo or video without the help of strangers.

The Quik Pod is made of sturdy polycarbonate and aluminum. It weighs less than 100 grams and comes with a built in self-positioning mirror and hiking clip.
