Yorkshire Post Today:

A Yorkshire woman is hoping to prevent infuriating episodes encountered when taking what should be a relaxing shower.

Jill Parkinson has invented a portable shower head holder for use in bathrooms where showers have no wall fixings.

Shuc aims to stop the need for showering with one hand while holding the shower head, and Parkinson claims the device, which sticks to tiles, suits 90 per cent of shower heads on the market.

Parkinson has secured a patent for her device and is aiming to secure 10,000 orders by the end of 2007.

Parkinson said she came up with the idea for Shuc after spending years staying in hotels around the world when she worked in corporate sales for British Airways. “I found myself checking into hotels and into rooms where there was a shower hose but nowhere to hang it,” she said. “Showers took longer and longer and it was a real pain. That’s what really drove me to get into this area.”
