eBay China Employees Unhappy With Take Over
Staff at eBay Inc.’s Chinese partner EachNet have posted a protest letter online over new contract terms in response to the company’s take over by Hong Kong’s Tom Online.
In the letter to eBay’s chief executive Meg Whitman, posted on December 31, “EachNet staff” voiced concerns their terms were threatened by the folding of EachNet into a new venture controlled by Tom Online, announced last month.
EBay would not disclose how many employees would stay with the venture until it had closed the joint venture deal, an eBay spokeswoman said.
