Five Signs You May Be a Workaholic
In the age of the BlackBerry, laptop and cell phone, distinguishing between workaholics and people just doing what’s expected in their jobs can be difficult.
When devotion to work becomes unhealthy side effects may include fatigue, sleep disorders, and stress-related ailments, such as heart attack and stroke, says Diane Fassel, author of Working Ourselves to Death: The High Costs of Workaholism and the Rewards of Recovery.
1. Preoccupation with work. Workaholics typically have difficulty leaving the office while home or in social situations and are unable to “turn work off.”
2. Discomfort in delegating. Many workaholics are poor delegators because of their need to control.
3. Neglect other aspects of their life. Often workaholics put work before their families and personal lives.
4. Merge other parts of their lives into work. Because work is constantly on the brain, workaholics may try to create businesses based on their hobbies. There is no demarcation between leisure and work for a workaholic.
5. ‘Sneaking’ work. Workaholics, like other addicts, when confronted about their addiction, often try to hide it.

How about 5 signs you might be an Entrepreneur –
Preoccupation with work – it’s so interesting and challenging and you keep having these great ideas which come out of nowhere and you just have to act on them even if your friends think you’re a little obsessive – but, you’re not, no, really, you’re not
No one to delegate to – yes, there’s no one to delegate to, correct!
Neglect other aspects of life – this is your passion and everyone else who isn’t an entrepreneur or pushing themselves somehow seems boring, yes, that’s it – pardon, sweetheart, were you talking to me?
Merge other parts of their lives into work – I have to admit I’ve had the kids posting flyers in 32 deg F weather – good outdoor exercise
Sneak Work – just a minute honey, I’ll be out just after I read the exec summary again . . . . But I don’t WANT to watch American Idol – and it’s not my man-cave, it’s my home office
Maybe it’s a requirement to be a bit of a workaholic to be an entrepreneur
