Skype 2.5 For Mac Now Complete
For those who are on the bleeding edge of Skype-ness, version 2.5 for Mac has come out of beta today and is now available for download as a final version. The final release is actually version 2.5.0.85, for everyone keeping track.
The new point release for the popular VoIP service supports sending SMS messages to mobile phones as well as 10-way conference calling abilities (you plus nine other Skypers). There is also now a birthday tracker for friends on your Skype list—a little floofy, but perhaps cool nonetheless for those who are forgetful about birthdays.
