Springwise:

Flying with infants brings an end to travelling light, as a baby’s essentials quickly add up to excess baggage. Tinytotsaway.com aims to ease the strain, by letting parents order all of their child’s necessities online and have them delivered to their destination.

The British company not only helps with the extra baggage issue, but also saves the hassle of shopping after arrival. Having baby supplies sent over to their hotel means that parents don’t have to worry about locating a supermarket and deciphering foreign packaging to find the right kind of diapers, and food that their baby or toddler will eat.

Besides favourite brands of food and nappies, customers can also have items like baby powder and sunscreen delivered.

Tinytotsaway.com uses UPS and can deliver to most countries.

Set one up in another country? Build a good website, partner with tour operators and travel agencies, and grateful parents should make for good repeat customers.

I see one huge hole in this. If I was travelling with a child (something I’d never inflict on other travellers!) then I wouldn’t have the spare money to order things that I had already paid out for, just to have them delivered in my destination.

IMHO, traveling light at a cost vs slightly more hassle, hassle wins.

To add to your already excellent idea, what if someone recreating this site were to use a price comparison engine focused in on baby gear and another focused in on holidays, and maybe more on apartments and car hire? Then you’d have a far better tuned version of the site. Giving the new owner an instant edge.

But what are the parameters for the evaluations?
